Raided, Invaded and Dismantled is the debut album from Dan Reed. Since the Dan Reed Network took all the Dan Reed cred on the site, I chose a different name. It's based on the world's best dog, the late Roo Roo. I'm Roo Two, or RUUTU since it looks cooler.

Album title came from Russell Shorto's fabulous book about the Johnstown mob. (NOTE: which validated every Chris story that we called bullshit on back in the day. We stand corrected.)

So this was a "can I do it" project. Gave myself a limited amount of time. And vowed to have it done by Oct 15. Only a few days late.

Digital lofi. My only recording equipment was a looper and wiretap. There was no editing software or equipment. No pause or rewind options. Just record something, keep it or delete, and then add a layer on top of that. This is why some songs just stop. Some buzz in. Some make no sense.

I have no drummer. I found drum stuff online and fit music stuff in there.

I don't play bass, but found the bass parts to be fun AF, even if they're lots of root notes with ham-handed embellishments.

There isn't much by way of vocals. This is my biggest disappointment as I couldn't make any of it work (and I can't sing, at all). My only audio input is a 1983 Radio Shack mic and it sounds like it.

There are many warts. In fact, this whole thing can be thought of as a wart with occasional brushes with almost song-ness. Also, nothing over 2 minutes, 90 seconds was the goal.

It's all free, because, I'd be pissed off if I was you and paid for this. Plus, it's just about me doing it and not about who hears it.
